Have you ever thought about using pastel colours in your home? When I think of pastel colours at this time of year I immediately think of Cadbury Mini Eggs and with Easter in a few days I thought I would look at some ways of bringing some subtle pastel colours into your home.
At Easter I like to brighten our home with a few decorations whether it is some pussy willows with ornamental eggs hanging from them, some colourful cushions or simply a bowl of mini eggs it is lovely to take the opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring in your home. Easter wreathes are another way of enjoying pastels, however pastels are not just for the Easter period but are a key trend for 2015.
Whether you chose to bring some pastel colours into your home using accessories or use a lovely chalk paint in mint green, lilac or pale blue, pastel colours are a subtle way to introduce colour to the home. As we seem to be holding onto winter weather through the Easter period a little colour gives us a bit of hope that Spring is on its way.
I have included some accessories below which you can find on the high street or online and can used in your home for years to come. I particularly love the Mud Australia dishes and the LSA tea light holders. Vanessa Arbuthnott fabrics are a favourite of mine and because her fabrics are timeless they can last for many seasons. I particularly love her Swallow fabric in pale blue this year.
Have a lovely Easter everyone.
